HISTORY OF THE ESTABLISHMENT OF MALAYSIA FOR SYRIA

The Malaysian Secretariat for Syria or known as Malaysian Life Line For Syria was established on 20 September 2012 after a meeting held at the Office of the Ikram Organization of Malaysia (IKRAM) in Taman Melawati in an effort to send a humanitarian aid mission to the people of Syria.

The movement chaired by Angkatan Belia Malaysia (ABIM) also got cooperation from seven other NGOs such as:

Global Peace Mission (GPM) Malaysia,

Malaysian Catering Organization (IKRAM),

Save Syria Coalition,

Damascus Ray Organization (PERSIDAM),

Syrian Youth Assembly in Malaysia (SYAM),

Malaysian-Syrian Student Association,

Malaysian Social Media Foundation (MSMF).

VISION

Saving lives, building and contributing towards a more peaceful Syria

MISSION

  • To be the main implementing body in delivering humanitarian aid to Syria.

  • To be the main reference against the conflict in Syria, especially Malaysians.

  • To empower the community to unite in helping the Syrian people; helping the Syrian people who are victims in the form of education, health, welfare and towards a more stable life.
